Make Up Products I Regret Buying

I thought I'd share with you the products I regret buying. What was I thinking when I brought these products. I mean they come at a good price but the product is just rubbish. So don't always be fooled by the price. That is what blogging is about, read reviews on products before you buy them, it would really help to save your money.

So here are my products I really do regret buying:

Primark Bronzing Balls
This product is awfully dark and shimmery, I really didn't know what I was thinking at that time. It is really dark and very orange toned. It just doesn't go well with my skin tone. It is great for a halloween scary look but for an everyday look, its just a no go!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Mineral Powder Foundation (Soft beige)
The product is just a few shades too dark for my skin tone. There was no sample for this at the time so just randomly picked it up. Plus there is a soft cotton application in this, which is absolutely pointless because the powder is just so hard to get out. So unscrewing the lid helps to get the product out easier but it is just very messy. So I'm going to stick to press powder rather than loose powder.

I love...Strawberries & Milkshake glossy lip balm
This product smells really nice, just like strawberries and cream but when applying on the lips, its just feels sticky and just very uncomfortable on the lips because of the thick consistency. It doesn't make the lips soft or anything but make them really glossy.

OG- Outdoor Girl Eye Light
I try to make myself like this product because it gives a lovely blue toned shimmery white colour. But when I apply it to my eyes its just feels sticky and I have oily eye lids so the two doesn't exactly go well with each other.

Natural Collection Concealer Fair
I have dark eye circles and this product does nothing at all to conceal them. It has a light consistency so it just blends into the skin with the black eye circles still showing.

Natural Collection Liquid Eye Liner
The application isn't the best because it is brush so you can see every stroke that has been made. The formulation isn't very pigmented and doesn't last very long either. The price is inexpensive so for the price, you get what you pay for.

They were the  products I regret buying, so what products do you regret buying?
Thanks for reading!!

Palmers Cocoa Butter Review

Finally I'm back to blogging after having to get my uni portfolio out of the way!

Well I heard a few raves about this product so I thought I would give it a try because I'm beginning to love body butters especially Soap and Glory's righteous butter.

I actually find this a lovely product to use. Of course the scent of this is just amazing, it reminds me of vanilla haagen dazs ( my favourite ice cream!) whereas my sister actually hates the smell of this, I mean who doesn't love the smell of ice cream! So now I have 2 bottles of this because she doesn't like the scent of it. The scent of this is sweet and lingers around on the skin for a while too which I don't mind, but for some it might.

The product says it helps to 'soften, smoothes and relieves dry skin' which I totally agree. My skin is left so hydrated and so soft, it is definitely ideal for those who suffer from dry skin.

The formulation isn't too heavy or too light, but the perfect consistency however I would prefer the product to be in a tub rather than a bottle, because it is hard to squeeze it out unless you leave the bottle placed upside down. The product just sinks beautifully into the skin and the formulation isn't sticky either.

I'm not sure about if it does 'tones skin or smoothes marks' because I mainly use this for dry skin on my arm and legs.

I do recommend this product because I find it a dream to use so I would buy it again, you can get it everywhere- supermarkets, Boots and Superdrug. It costs around £3.60, it isn't expensive so definitely worth a try if your looking for a body butter.

So tell me whats your favourite body butter?

Tesco Vitamin E Eye Cream Review

I found this at Tesco so I thought I'd give it a go because I haven't tried an eye cream containing vitamin e before. I wonder if it is any different...

When I first tried this product I thought it was quite nice to apply around the eye area but it is  little greasy tho. I didn't really feel like it did much apart from moisturise my eyes. There isn't much of a scent to this product so quite plain.

The product contains vitamin e and SPF 15 which is a bonus but for winter the sun hardly appears. I prefer to use this product when I sleep because of it being moisturising, it helps to moisturise my eyes over night so that they feel hydrated in the morning. I wouldn't really buy it again because it didn't do much to my eyes.

It costs around £2 at Tesco, for that price, you get what you pay for really.

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream Review

I have always wanted a good eye cream to help with my under eye circles and the puffiness from waking up at half 6 in the morning to get to uni.

I find this product very light to put on around the eyes so that is why I prefer to use this in the morning. The product isn't greasy or heavy, but just feels and smells refreshing when applying it. It has a lovely citrusy smell and it contains 99% natural origin. I do find it very soothing for my tired eyes in the morning and helps me to feel awake more but just wished it aimed for dark under eye circles too!!!
This is a sample of 7ml so it would be easy to carry around with me but I'm sure the full size isn't much bigger.

The full size 15ml costs £20 available at John Lewis.
The price is a lot for an eye cream and a little of this will last a long way, I'm not sure if I will be buying the full size because I want to see if there are any better ones about but this is such a lovely product to apply around the eyes. Do you have any eye cream you would recommend?

Soap and Glory Righteous Butter Review

Another one of my favourites from Soap and Glory has got to be the righteous butter! It just never fails to let me down!

The product just smells amazing like any other soap and glory product does. It feels like a dream when it is rubbed in all over the skin, it is just so moisturising and leaves the skin feeling so soft and hydrated. I like to put this on just as I have stepped out the shower, because it just melts into the skin from the heat of the body.

I loved it so much my boyfriend brought me the limited edition which comes in a much bigger size of 1 litres!

I got it a while ago so I don't think it is on sale anymore. However I didn't realise when I got it, was that it contained 'diamond dust' which are really small specs of glitter. It did kinda put me off at first because I would be all glittery but overall the product is still amazing and the glitter wont stop me from using it.

You can still get the 300ml righteous butter from Boots for £10.50, currently 3 for 2 at Boots. There is a travel size for £2.50 so you can try it out before you buy the bigger size. I definitely would recommend this product for those looking for a body butter!

Lush Lip Scrub Bubblegum Review

I'm sure everyone likes a little bit of Lush, this product smells so like bubblegum, it just makes you want to eat it!

I have never tried a lip scrub before so this is the first. It is really easy to use, just massage it over the lips and it will give you nice soft lips. It contains caster sugar and jojoba oil which helps to clear dead skin cells and leave your lips feeling smooth.

The product is made from sugar so its ok to lick it off your lips after scrub but that is rather disgusting to lick the dead skin off your lips. I prefer to use this when I want to take a bright lipstick off, because it really helps to get into the lips to prevent the lipstick from staining or when my lips are feeling dry.

The product costs £5.25, it definitely lasts a long way so I think its worth the price!

Bio Oil Review

Last year my sister brought me bio oil for christmas and I have been using it every night since then. It does state to use it twice a day, but putting oil on my face in the morning isn't exactly a nice look but every night is more acceptable cos no one sees you when you are sleeping with an oily face.

I have dry skin and it definately helps with my skin to hydrate it over night so it feels nice and soft in the morning. I usually get marks from the spots left on my face but bio oil has really helped to them fade away. This is a really good product to use around the winter times because skin tend to get dryer around the colder temperatures.

I have the 60ml bottle and it really does last a long, long time so definitely worth the money. I have used it since last christmas and I have a quarter of the bottle left. The packaging is a very simple plastic bottle. I would like it if it had a pippette so it would make it easy to get the product out.

I definitely would purchase it again, in fact I have another 60ml bottle stocked up in my cupboard. I always see them on sale all the time at supermarkets, boots and superdrug so definately go and check them out. The 60ml bottle are around £8.99 click here.

Soap and Glory Clean On Me Review!

I am definitely a Soap and Glory lover, because this is one of my favourite products they have and I will tell you why!

I have used up 2 bottles of this already and 1 bottle contains 500ml so it lasts a long long way, a good few months at least. I really like it when the smell is still left on my skin afterwards. The smell is just amazing I must say because it has a lovely fruity smell as it contains natural mandarin peel extract. The product lathers up really nicely and it is so creamy because it has a built in body lotion so it moisturises while you shower. I love the packaging, its pretty and pink and it comes as a pump which I really prefer because it makes it easy to use in the shower.

This brand is my all time favourite and definitley cant go for a shower without it. I can't think of anything bad to say about this product because I wouldn't change my shower gel for anything else better than this. I would highly recommend this if your looking for a shower gel.

Soap and Glory is available at Boots for £5.50 and it is also a better price when there is a 3 for 2 offer.

Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Review

I brought this product around the start of 2012 and I have used every bit that I can get out.

It is such a great everyday scrub and I enjoyed using it very much. I remember buying it when it was on a sale price at Tesco around £2 or less price.Even though its not on offer, it is still isn't that expensive so still worth the money click here. I would definitely would purchase it again if I dont find anything better than this.

There is 150ml, so quite a lot of product you get for the price, plus it lasts a long way too! The packaging is pretty simple and rather easy to squeeze the product out. But it does annoy me how I cant twist the cap off to get the very last bits of the product.

It leaves my face feeling really soft and fresh but it does state it eliminates and prevents blackheads for up to 3 weeks that I'm not quite sure it really does. But I'm always on the look out for blackhead removers so please let me know what works. I like to use this scrub with the bodyshop facial scrub ( I will do a review on this soon). I have dry skin so it doesn't strip off any oils from my face which makes it a lovely product to use.

I would definitely recommend this if your looking for a everyday scrub because I definitely would use it again.

Not Just Any Milkshake But Ferrero Rocher Milkshake!

I have always liked milkshake but I didnt think I would like it this much when I visited a milkshake shop in manchester arndale market. The milkshake was just amazingly perfect for hot weathers. It enables you to choose your own chocolate or sweet blended in with milk and ice-cream. I visited there a few times until I thought of making my own instead to help save my money because the money all adds up in the end which is very expensive for what I was paying for, for just simple ingredients.

The ingredients I used serves 2:
A third of cup of soya milk
10 scoops of vanilla ice cream
6 ferrero rocher ( if you dont like ferrero rocher, you can always put in your favourite chocolate or sweet)

Put them all in the blender and let the work be done for you, but if it just blends the bottom and not the top, do mix it a bit.

And it should look like this when its all blended.

And enjoy!
